SOLARI(S):

SOLARIS: from Latin, sol ‘sun’
SOLARI: Latin. ‘to console’.

 I am considering the economies of attention and connection within the community and where the focus of worship is shifting. These paintings often depict gathering places for people: local baseball games, county fairs, airport terminals…. The sun is represented as an orange ball, no longer located in the sky; now depicted at eye-level and within grasp of individuals present in the visual field.
