 I am considering the economies of attention and connection within the community and where the focuses of worship and focus are shifting. These painting often depict gathering places for people: local baseball games, county fairs, airport terminals…. The sun is represented as an orange ball, no longer located in the sky, now depicted at eye-level and within grasp of individuals present in the visual field.
